  • Photo of selected AFRE Graduate Students 2015-2016
  • Access four major Ph.D. fields of study, along with strong training in microeconomic theory and empirical methods.  M.S. students study courses in the same areas, but do not select a major field.  The fields are;
    • Development Economics,
    • Environmental and Resource Economics,
    • Food & Agribusiness Management, and
    • Food & Agricultural Markets.
    • Important offerings are also available in Regional Development and Policy as well as other graduate specializations.

  • AFRE/MSU‘s graduate preparation enables students to investigate a wide range of issues affecting not only the domestic and international producers, processors and marketers of agricultural and natural resource products, but also the rural and urban populations who depend on these products and on broader environmental services.
