Project end date: August 31, 2015

Working in partnership with the other Regional Rural Development Centers and key contacts at the USDA, the North Central Regional Center for Rural Development will implement a national community behavioral health coalition.  The coalition will engage knowledgeable land grant personnel and others in developing a stronger understanding of how local decision makers engage with available data on community health to assess program performance, and to develop and deliver training to help decision-makers access the best available data appropriate to their own needs.

The project will begin with an assessment of at least eight case study regions that will include a survey of current practices.  Information from the case study regions will inform development of a national curriculum by a design team.  The design team will conduct trainings for local decision makers nationally, and provide suggestions for further improvement in systems to help inform decision makers in the future.

Implementation Sept. 2013 – Aug. 2015.
